The Direct Link ?
The FBI interview with Linda Schiro
and her knowledge of Lin Devecchio
According to the numerous and illegal grand jury leaks that originated with the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, the "star" witness against Lin is Linda Schiro, Gregory Scarpa, Sr.'s former common-law wife. Lin purportedly instructed Scarpa, Sr., to kill certain individuals during meetings held at the Scarpa residence. Schiro allegedly overheard these conversations and/or was told, by Scarpa, Sr., about them afterwards. Indeed, Schiro was described by the prosecutor at Lin's arraignment as the "direct link" between Lin and Scarpa, Sr.
We know that in the mid 1990's Linda Schiro was interviewed about the relationship between Lin and Scarpa, Sr. We also know that reports of the interviews were available to the Brooklyn District Attorney before Lin was indicted. These astonishing statements by Schiro completely exonerate Lin.
In 1994, Schiro told investigators that over the course of 12 years she had seen Lin approximately 10 times. During that same interview, Schiro said that she NEVER HEARD THE CONTENTS OF ANY DISCUSSION BETWEEN LIN AND SCARPA, SR., whether the two men met face to face or whether they talked on the telephone. She also said that SCARPA, SR., NEVER TOLD HER THAT HE HAD RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION ABOUT FBI MATTERS FROM LIN. Schiro also said that SCARPA, SR., NEVER TOLD HER THAT HE HAD RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM LIN IN CONNECTION WITH INDIVIDUALS ALLEGEDLY KILLED BY SCARPA, SR. (Similarly, when Scarpa Sr., was interviewed shortly before he died, he said that Lin DeVecchio was not his source).
In 1998, Schiro submitted an affidavit on behalf of her stepson—imprisoned Colombo family killer Gregory Scarpa, Jr., in an effort to assist with his unsuccessful defense (Scarpa, Jr., is now serving a 40 year sentence for convictions including, among others, conspiracy to murder Joseph "Joe Brewster" DeDomenico). In this affidavit, Schiro claimed that she did hear several conversations between Lin and Scarpa, Sr. However, when her stepson then wanted her to testify to the contents of that affidavit, Schiro refused, instead asserting her 5th Amendment privilege.
This is the Brooklyn District Attorney's "direct link" between Lin and Scarpa, Sr.
As a result of the release of documents by Justice Reichbach of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the following interview, or FD-302,of Linda Schiro on August 17, 1994 by Supervisory Special Agents of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility has been made available .

As can be seen from the above Linda Schiro stated she new nothing of the conversations between Lin and Greg Scarpa Sr. How can she now say the opposite?
